to recount:
- 8' Sadiki tackles Kolo Muani, who's through on goal, with studs at knee-height. No card, not even a foul
- 15' Brobbey is late & overly-aggressive in a challenge that could easily injure someone. No card.
- 21' O'Nien slides in from behind, sweeping Kolo Muani's legs. Ref sees enough to overturn on-field decision (clear & obvious?), drop ball Sunderland.
- 27' Romero goes in with similar/less force than Brobbey's challenge at 8', actually wins the ball, and is given a yellow.
- 33' Brobbey elbows Porro in the face & then shoves him to the ground. Ref had to intervene to give a foul & Brobbey yellow (possible violent conduct).
- 37' Van de Ven sees yellow (is it even a foul?) for "stopping a promising attack" that saw two Sunderland attackers vs five Spurs defenders while Brobbey is drifting away from goal. Porro given a yellow for arguing with the ref as well.
- 46' Romero gets a foul for minimal contact & Brobbey goes down clutching his head.
- 49' Reinildo takes Kolo Muani out at pace, stopping an obvious counter attack. Another missed yellow.
- 53' Udogie has an arm over his throat and studs on his calf while through on goal. No card, not even a foul.
- 58' the ref inexplicably calls for a handball, despite it clearly hitting Kolo Muani's head. Remember, VAR is in place so refs are encouraged to allow play to continue & correct afterwards. Blowing it dead then is inexcusable, and it stops a promising break for Spurs. A few minutes later, Spurs concede.
- 62' Brobbey shoves Romero into Kinsky with no regard for their safety, leaving Romero injured & Kinsky bloody. Brobbey, having been over the line multiple times in this match already, somehow escapes a yellow.
- 79' Brobbey, now incapable of playing through contact, falls over at the slightest touch & the ref rewards him.

A comprehensive compilation of the disgraceful officiating against Sunderland yesterday. As a side note, the only challenge in this video that resulted in a sanction against Sunderland was Brobbey’s on Porro at 32:04, which was a yellow card.
