People enjoy sports betting and gambling at casinos because there’s a legitimate chance to win money. The odds aren’t in your favor, but you can win.
Memecoins used to be like this. There used to be a legitimate chance you could hit it big off some random coin.
Now, everything is controlled by insiders and bots. We’ve seen it numerous times in the last couple weeks. The average person’s chances of making it big off a memecoin are basically 0. Retail is being used solely as exit liquidity.
Eventually the average person is going to just stop aping these quick pump and dumps. There’s a higher chance of winning betting on regulated industries rather than the crypto Wild West.
It’s rather unfortunate to see users shaken out like this. Maybe this is what’s needed to reset the current market mentality. Or maybe people keep coming back, thinking the next coin will be the one. Only thing I know is that the average user will almost certainly lose money in most of these situations.

Ok, rolled out some major improvements to @AbstractChain streaming just now:
- Custom stream links. Yes, everyone has been asking for these. Now streamers can share persistent links that can be used whenever they go live.
- Massively improved moderation tools. Streamers can now add moderators to their streams. There is now more advanced user reporting and banning. Mods and streamers can also delete messages from the chat
- Slow mode. Streamers can turn on slow mode to prevent spam in their chats.
- Dedicated stream keys. Small quality of life change for streamers to make things easier.
Please restart your streams if you haven't already. Next week we'll be looking into stream clipping and maybe picture in picture mode.
