For the first time in my life I’m enjoying ITV’s World Cup coverage more than BBC’s. Never thought I’d see the day. It’s not just the theme tune and NY backdrop. Pougatch & Woods are quality. Keane, Neville, Wright better big names. Ferguson, Mata, Ange, Hayes all excellent. 1/2

@VillaViews_ @SpursGuy88 It’s also worth noting that the window has barely opened and so far we’ve spent a total of £52 million. Hardly an obscene amount. End of the day the rules are in place and clubs know how much they are allowed to spend.

By all means moan that Chelsea and City spent without restrictions, bankrolled by their owners before ffp arrived. But bemoaning Spurs spending money after being frugal, building a stadium and maximising commercial revenue seems off the mark. We need to do something similar #avfc

Country over club has always been a horrendous take, and I believe you aren't really a proper fan of your club if you would rather England win the World Cup. If England won it, of course it would be fantastic scenes across the country, but for me it wouldn't even come close to Bilbao. Nowhere near. l'd rather #THFC won the Carabao Cup than England win the World Cup, and that opinion will never change. I struggle to fathom how any proper football fan can prefer their country over club...🤷‍♂️

@HLTCO It’s excellent. Yes some of the likenesses of the players aren’t great but it’s the story that matters. Good look at how Southgate tried to find out why we kept under-performing at tournaments and how he set about fixing it. Well worth watching.

@historyofTHFC Trained with the club there when I was 15. Was sports mad at school but turned up and was miles off the fitness levels of the others, Club wanted me to carry on training but my school said no. Gutted. Proud to have worn the shirt in a couple of friendlies.
