@mholt6 If you use %w, presumably it’s to let callers do something they can’t with %v. Are you willing to document it as part of the API and add a test case so it won’t regress, so callers can rely on it? If not, is %w really needed?

Should you always use %w (as opposed to %v) when bubbling up an error with fmt.Errorf()? Is it always a good idea to expose the underlying error values to callers? (I guess if they're unexported then it doesn't matter?)
