@2hufuk @luckytran Tbf, golden mushroom would actually probably be a decent means of doing the lap skip in the Mk64 era of games. I’d imagine rainbow road is just an analog for life/the future/ect. If it is a Mk64 reference though we don’t need a golden mushroom since yoshi is T0 in that game.

2) Is Yoshi driving the one driving the kart? What if I'm a Wario main?
3) Golden Mushroom is probably not a great item on Rainbow Road, too easy to fly off the course with it. I'd rather have like a Bullet Bill

@bambamguitar You could argue it’s a two-main issue and, to some extent, it is. However, Aquaman players prefer to risk 17 non-players if it means 30-40% of Zod players can attend freely. It’s ultimately up to the players, but imo, it should be up to ALL of the players to decide.

@bambamguitar Sorry for the long text wall, I figured that this might be a good analogy to frame why folks have issues with it. As a Bane main, it doesn’t affect me. I have my venom canisters, but I don’t want my tournament to be won because Zod players can’t get a fair shake.

@bambamguitar Also consider that non-player attendance is already so infantesimally small that such a rule ends up being unnecessary as it is, and you have a rule that exists more to disallow Zod mains from attending EVO that it actually does prevent non-players from attending.
