Denis Villeneuve says he decided to do DUNE: PART THREE immediately after PART TWO because he wanted to return to Arrakis “not with a sense of nostalgia, but a sense of urgency.”
He describes PART ONE as contemplative, PART TWO as a war film and PART THREE as a thriller.
