I believe, that if somebody from each #retrocomputing community would bring ONE machine, to put on a centralized table, at each show, to connect to IRATA.ONLINE, we can really bring the cross-platform point home. Contact me, if interested.

@tschak @atari_museum yeah all the info i have found indicates 640x400 and the CGA mode is definitely stretchy i.imgur.com/h1xywB5.jpg looking at screen.c line 147 it seems like /grid sets video to 640x400 - is that not the case?

@drinkbot3 @atari_museum ok, so, looks like the 3 has a custom 640x400 mode, but I have no code to initialize it. The 1537 I have has a VGA controller which crops the 640x480 VGA display to 640x400.

@risknc floorjack handles slide over a 24" breaker bar for extra leverage with a soft touch grip.

I need a good cheater pipe. recommendations?

@tschak @atari_museum awesome, 0.1 alpha works in CGA but it looks like i'll need to compile latest to get GRiD mode. just ordered a wimodem232, will be able to dial in once that arrives.

@tschak @atari_museum sounds about right wrt parts, but worth it for such a unique piece. not seeing mention of GRiD on your site, platoterm still on the roadmap for them?

@drinkbot3 My 1537 is in New York with @atari_museum being restored. I will have it again, eventually, but there are some extremely hard to acquire parts needed.
