Don’t forget as a creator you need to OFFER something to the viewer News, commentary, be funny, teach a concept, give a hot take, do a combination of these Stop making content that offers nothing. You have to give to the viewer, a “video to watch” is not something, it’s the given I see way too often creators making videos that literally offer nothing and while quality [resolution, bitrate, fps] increases, the value doesn’t. So there’s nothing for the audience to subscribe to. “Day in the life” “Follow my journey” “Documenting my process” Are all forms of content that offers nothing but is seen everywhere, because it’s simple, easy, you have to put nothing in, just setup camera, record, assemble clips, add a song (yippee!) There are plenty of arguments you can make as to those being good content. And they are, once nuance is added. Adding nuance is the only way i can imagine these having value though I get so sad seeing creators create and post for YEARS to no results and it’s simply because they lack any value and offer nothing. They’re good people, with pure intentions, and hope in their eyes, but they miss the mark completely. Create value. Offer something to your viewers. Let your followers leave every post of yours feeling like they learned or gained something.
