In the 90s, Disney almost turned this island near Florida's Magic Kingdom into a MYST theme park, where you'd solve puzzles to understand what happened to the island's inhabitants. Looks the part this morning! @cyanworlds

@bricetebbs @edoublea @dpogue @bertvandepoel @alahmnat @EleriTMLH It took awhile, but @edoublea's summoning spell succeeds. To my recollection there weren't any technical barriers to bringing this to fruition. It was a design decision to go with other ages. We had a lot of fun playing this in office though :)

Holy cow, this whole thread brings back a lotta good memories. I bet I probably have the 3DSMax files for much of this stuff sitting around somewhere. 🤔

Obligatory weirdo tech-art experiment for the last day of winter break. Started out as an exercise in attempting the "strange wall" effect from SilentHill2... But sidetracked into a peaceful meadow of flesh tubes. Enjoy.

Noodles are all simple 2D, view-facing strips of geo, deformed and offset in 3D space. Could probably be full 3D in nanite, but I'm confident the SE2 effect I was mimicking was done with "pseudo-3D" like this, so wanted to keep it in that vein.
