This week we've been attending #GGRiP2025 at the University of Birmingham. The event covers topics such as palaeoclimates, fluid-rock interactions, mountain belt evolution, biomineral organics and micropalaeontology. Pop by the booth and say hello to Jon and Raeesah!

That’s a wrap! Thanks to everyone who attended our IRMS User Meeting in Manchester over the past two days. We really appreciate everyone who offered up their time to talk about their work with stable isotopes.

Today, @AndiSmith10 from the @BritGeoSurvey kicked off day two of our IRMS User Meeting. He talked us through how they use their (eight!) Elementar IRMS systems and peripherals, highlighting the modifications and novel techniques they use.

A big thank-you to Rachel Petts @MuseumInsight and all @McrMuseum for letting us sample the #pangolin collection for #stableisotope analysis. Also looking forward to the @elementarIRMS user meeting here tomorrow!

Our next keynote is from @rpancost from @UoBEarthScience. His talk is on ‘Expanding the GC-IRMS analytical window to higher temperatures and more complex biomolecules’. #IRMS

Next up is our first keynote, @chris_harrod from @UofGSBOHVM. He is discussing how stable isotopes can help to solve the Rumsfeld Matrix in ecology, covering everything from the ‘known knowns’ to the ‘unknown unknowns’.
