For anyone who wants to explore this data with AI, I enriched it and set up a public MCP server you can connect to from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc. I added: - Provider names and locations - Procedure descriptions and service categories - Flags for providers who have been excluded from federal healthcare programs for fraud MCP server URL: api.rilldata.com/v1/orgs/demo/p… If you want to click around or validate what your AI finds, here's the source of truth dashboard (better on desktop): ui.rilldata.com/demo/medicaid-… Here's the GitHub repo. There's plenty more ways to enrich this, so open to PRs and recommendations! github.com/rilldata/rill-… Disclaimer: I work at Rill and put this together this morning with Claude Code + Rill.

Today the HHS DOGE team open sourced the largest Medicaid dataset in department history. This dataset contains aggregated, provider-level claims data for a specific billing code over time. For example, using this dataset, it would have been possible to easily detect the large-scale autism diagnosis fraud seen in Minnesota. Download the data yourself: opendata.hhs.gov

Code-first products present an unreasonably effective interface to AI models, because AIs excel at generating the very code these products run on. Today's release of Rill 0.41 introduces a related, powerful side effect of our BI-as-code philosophy: You can now create an operational dashboard from any data source with just one click, thanks to an integration with GPT-3.5 Turbo. rilldata.com/blog/one-click… At the core of Rill dashboards are SQL aggregate expressions, which define metrics (like revenue, MAU, or ARPU) over a set of dimensions (geography, age cohort, or device type). Given a prompt that includes the columns of a data source, GPT-3.5 readily generates SQL & YAML code for a list of relevant metrics and dimensions, along with informative labels, that underpin Rill dashboards. Incorporating code generation into development environments like Rill Developer is not a gimmick, but a true productivity accelerator, and we're confident it will further speed up the data to dashboard journey for our users.

Github analytics is the first use case I’ve used Rill for internally. I'm pretty hooked on it. The dashboard mentioned is a great way to explore a codebase, find code churn, and spot complexity.

MIND THE GAP: US Federal Debt (blue) v. US Federal Debt held by Foreign & Int'l Investors. The question is not "Will it get funded?" The question is "Can it get funded (w/o Fed help) at a rate that won't touch off a US govt (& global) debt doom loop?" A: Not if DXY is rising.

I'm subscribing to @LukeGromen's views on USD inflation: CPI >10% for multiple years is a real possibility. This long-term debt cycle is coming to an end and the US will have to inflate away the debt. Excellent podcast that covers his analysis: open.spotify.com/episode/0rQkX1…

how are we 2 fucking years in a pandemic but there's not a MAINSTREAM website to make a travel/flight plan that will tell you if you need an extra test, which vaccines are approved, etc. (please correct me if i'm wrong)

Tokenization will result in an unfathomable number of assets. Asking startups to determine the regulatory status of each individual asset would be like asking early Netscape to manually verify the contents of every single website.

Scaling DeFi is everything, and in that context a relationship between a DeFi protocol and a top tier Trust Company is nothing short of a paradigm shift. This opens the door to scalable DeFi backed by real world assets, protected by the worlds strongest legal structure.
