Most of the billionaires you see today didn’t make their money in a fair or transparent way. They took advantage of the naira-to-dollar exchange system, and policies seem designed to favor them. Government corruption is everywhere. If you build a house or start a clothing brand, who realistically has the purchasing power to support you? A civil servant? A Bolt driver? Talk to people who sell cars or gadgets they’ll tell you where their real customers come from. I come from a civil servant family myself, and there’s simply no real wealth there. My parents, despite being senior officials, relied on cooperative loans to raise us. That alone says a lot about the economic reality. Wealth distribution in Nigeria is extremely poor. In many ways, the system even indirectly benefits from fraudulent activities. The idea that there’s significant, legitimate money in Nigeria’s Web2 space is misleading and hard to prove. If we were talking about a country like the U.S., it would be a different conversation but this is Nigeria. With around 63% of the population living in poverty and unemployment rates between 50–70%, the data speaks for itself. There just isn’t as much real, accessible wealth in the system as people claim. Any business you open needs more than a sprinkle of fraudulent activity to keep it running.. I have given my pep talk.

In Nigeria Web 2 is fraudulent activities. The whole lotta money in web 2 a vast amount of the whole lotta money is fraud money. Lmao.

Yesterday, I spent Easter Sunday with our dear President, Bola Tinubu, and my bestie Aliko Dangote. We discussed the economy and how Nigerians can benefit from the reforms. On a day of resurrection and renewal, Mr President was still working. That kind of commitment gives you hope for Nigeria 🇳🇬 … F.Ote💲
