I took 1 star reviews of #Barbie from furious men on letterboxd and put them on the posters because it makes the film seem ever cooler.

Went to the Barbie premiere in Berlin last weekend. It was great.

@_nic_noodles_ 🤦‍♀️ the gall as well to assume they know how long it'll take! That fee basically covers the time it takes to respond to the email

@farrell_nic I got an email for an artist with several ongoing book covers for an app at £35 each once. It’s okay they’ll only take ‘half hour each’. Several zero’s missing from that mate and plenty more.

Been contacted about an editorial illustration where the fee is £35. Not £350. Thirty-five.

I'm not sure that I mentioned this on here, but I started a full-time job as a designer in January, hence why I've barely been updating Twitter or Instagram and all that jazz. However I WILL be sending a newsletter this weekend inc some behind the scenes drawings for this ✍️

a few sketchy signs from a trip to Budapest last summer. the circular one is the country-wide sign for tobacconists. also the wrought iron cables for the electrical store are a nice touch!

@Mr_Jangojim Ah thanks very much! I'm a big fan of your work! I've left out any pages that have client-related stuff on but tried to keep the rest of it in there, even if it's messy and nonsensical.

@farrell_nic these are great! very inspiring and visually pleasing to look at the sketchbook as a whole. I started doing sketches on loose pages as sketchbooks sometimes paralyze me, will upload some of this year soon too.

To round the year off, two more sketchbook flip-throughs.

@calligraphr_com Hellooo. Are you experiencing any technical difficulties today? I'm unable to view or download templates and this page has been stuck for 10 mins at least (I just upgraded to the paid from free version)

@HMRCcustomers Is there no other way to speak to someone? Is there a separate phone line for self employed people, or people who live overseas, etc so that we're not all waiting on the same line for the same few people? Once again I've been on hold and given up.

@HMRCcustomers hello HMRC I live abroad and need to speak to someone about my taxes (I'm self employed). I've sent a letter and got no reply. I've called numerous times - yesterday I was on hold for an hour before I gave up. For the love of god how do I speak to a person?
