@AVARY Ghosts of Mars because it’s his ultimate Howard Hawks western.

Let’s settle this, in your opinion which Carpenter film is better, and why?

@Diesol Color consistency across the pipeline is my main pain point right now. MJ -> Nano Banana -> Kling -> DaVinci. I haven't figured out whether it's better to color correct the pictures before generating the videos or afterwards.

I don't think color grading or color theory is discussed enough within AI filmmaking. I spend a lot of time in DaVinci Resolve and post processing on my films. Besides cinematography, composition, dialogue and editing style, color tells its own story and really becomes another language of your film.

It's time to return to the Swamp. This is Blackwaters. A Southern Gothic Tale I'm exploring. Created with Seedance 4K inside Runway. Period Pieces are now viable for indie filmmakers.

@newbeverly In A Man with a Camera, Almendros wrote that it was precisely because of The Wild Child that Malick wanted to work with him. Despite it being black-and-white, he wrote, "it has something in common with Days of Heaven, in that they are both period films."

Bresson considered his actors "models." He had them repeat lines mechanically and expressionless, move like puppets, until all their theatrical "craft" was beaten out of them. This was his idea of "pure cinema", and it's perfectly well suited to AI filmmaking.
