Idk this new flex of Gen Zs buying from landa. They’ve romanticised thrifting so much that it’s basically ruined the whole point of landa. Landa was meant for people who genuinely couldn’t afford new stuff but still wanted to wear something decent. (1)

@buaalicious So maybe we should leave some of this stuff for the people who actually rely on landa, so they can still have a decent and affordable selection to choose from.🤍

Do y’all know the entire point of thrifting is to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet? I understand the gentrification of thrifting has its cons but I’d rather have ppl (rich OR poor) satisfy their consumption habits with second hand clothes instead of fast fashion anyday.

@buaalicious That would make sense if people were actually thrifting to reduce consumption. Alot of kids buy stuff from landa, wear it once for a fit check, then never wear it again. That’s still consumerism, just in a different form and the prices go up for people who actually depend on landa

@ffammaaa I don't get it. A part of twt(sometimes same people) say that "who tf goes around and buys these designer stuff for 20-30k" and then a part says why are rich people thrifting😭 WHAT IS Y'ALLS PROBLEM. Thrifting is also meant for reusing and recycling stuff🙏🏼🙏🏼

@raheelm05 Yes because they know some stupid ah rich kid will buy it without even bargaining since they’re getting 60k shoes for 10k and 10k is cheap for them. What does the poor do now who wanted good quality stuff in 1-2k?

@ffammaaa True, shop owners are asking 10-18 thousand for shoes that we use to buy in 2500 to 3000.

@ursoooocuteee @ffammaaa OMG finally someone is talking about this. Ethical and sustainable ways are dead in Pakistan. I like to repeat my clothes and only spend on things that I'm actually going to use for a long time like 10 to 20 yrs max. I've still got t-shirts from high school which are 14 yrs old.

@jabbhaikamkr But people be crying and still buying it. If you really want to make a change you’ll have to stop buying from these brands so they stop increasing the prices but no one’s gonna do that

@ffammaaa Most of them are complaining because they can't buy it. If a person with a decent salary is still not being able to buy at least decent new clothes for their family because of uncalled inflation then i think they can at least have a right to rant about it.

People crying about Eid dress prices etc. if it’s out of your budget then just don’t buy it? No one’s forcing you to get an expensive dress. And if you still go for something you can’t afford, that’s really on you and your self-control. (1)
