Just got scammed 💀 Well really I scammed myself. It was for the one time I wasn't paying attention and decided to cut corners. What is the scam? There is a scam going around where an address that has a similar ending to one that you normally send to or receive from, sends you a few pennies (both addresses ended with ...sns). If you are not paying attention, you will click an old transaction and end up copying the wrong address. This just happened and I sent 40 SOL ($7,000). This one stings. Scammers think of intricate flows that people will go through, most of the time not working, but it just takes one fish (I was the fish). Definitely hurts, but just a reminder that in a world of magic internet money, you always need to be careful. 99% of time you're safe, you're smart, but it just takes one time to get hurt. Remember: ⁍ Move slow to go fast. ⁍ Double check everything. ⁍ Spread your assets among multiple wallets. ⁍ No matter how long or good you think you are, a temporary lapse can cost you. ⁍ Good luck, have fun. @Rhano72834065 @kbeecroft @Gbbigbuy You can obviously also use penalties instead of rewards. I'd prefer positive over negative incentives anytime, but you could also burn tokens or return to the treasury every time a user does not participate in a vote... Technically also more complex though

@Rhano72834065 @kbeecroft @Gbbigbuy Yeah, not easy, but there are technical and conceptional mitigations to avoid voting randomly. Plus assuming people do vote randomly, in the end it they would not impact the result. It is a trade-off whether you accept rewarding some for nothing vs. increasing participation

@kbeecroft @Gbbigbuy on (ii) Participation needs to be smooth, easy and fun with great UI and UX. Easier said than done based on the current tech stack, but this is also a question of mindset, bandwidth, resources and focus.

@kbeecroft @Gbbigbuy on (i) Why not financially reward participation, voting and delegation? Rewards for using a product or protocol are widely implemented and accepted. So are staking rewards. There's no technical blocker stopping this.

1/3 6 months ago the SEC investigated FTX US on multiple matters. They found no wrong doing. Instead they continued to meet with FTX on giving them a "no-action letter" to broaden reach in the US markets.
