@CalvinBeddoe @politics8ntEZ @PatrickVogelius @XenoTrivia i rest easy regardless of the polls, that’s the difference.
English

@firstphas3 @politics8ntEZ @PatrickVogelius @XenoTrivia Well, I suppose that’s what makes us different. I don’t think red button pushers are, which is why I press blue. If the polls are any indication, I rest easy
English

Reds believe "Well, if everyone pushed Red, we'd all be fine. Why wouldn't you pick Red?" Whereas Blues believe, "Someone else will pick Blue. So, in order to ensure everyone lives, we have to pick Blue." One option kills people. One option does not. It's simple. Pick Blue.
Tim Urban@waitbutwhy
Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?
English

@politics8ntEZ @firstphas3 @PatrickVogelius @XenoTrivia Okay sure. If every person on the planet was either drunk or sober, and they all needed to get home at the same time, it would be morally wrong not for sober people to drive the drunk people home.
English

@firstphas3 @PatrickVogelius @XenoTrivia Two people would have to vote blue to make up for your red vote. That is on you, whether you like it or not. You made it harder for blue to win.
English

@CalvinBeddoe @PatrickVogelius @XenoTrivia unless reds win by a singular vote, then i bare zero responsibility.
English

@firstphas3 @PatrickVogelius @XenoTrivia Yes. Killing them is still bad and in some small way still your fault
English

@jakeisnotbased @nackafucko @MSatkiewicz @Apocaloptimist5 there’s no refutation required if you are a red button presser. that’s the beauty.
English

@firstphas3 @nackafucko @MSatkiewicz @Apocaloptimist5 Semantics again.
Not even a useful refutation.
English

@jakeisnotbased @nackafucko @MSatkiewicz @Apocaloptimist5 “i wasn’t really paying attention” -every single blue button presser
English

@nackafucko @MSatkiewicz @Apocaloptimist5 Where in my graphic is morality part of the solution?
LOGICALLY we all agree children don’t have their reasoning faculties developed. This is true in nearly every society on earth.
Are you refuting this core agreed upon notion?
English

@PatrickVogelius @XenoTrivia I mean that’s just logically not true. This is zero sum. If you pick red, the threshold to save everyone gets slightly higher.
We also have to account for the human factor. People are going to pick blue for any number of reasons that you can’t know.
English

@ThatGuyAbl3 @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia the difference is, i’m not trying to convince you to vote red… i couldn’t give a fuck.
English

Red pushers cannot fathom taking individual risk for collective good
Jack@depression2019
It is actually disturbing how dumb the average person is Red gives you a 100% chance of living, you literally get nothing beneficial out of choosing blue
English

@FrogeLole @ThatGuyAbl3 @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia i know. that’s why i pick the option with 100% chance of me not dying…
English

@firstphas3 @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia Lower than the statistical odds of 51% of people voting blue.
Higher than the odds of 100% voting red.
We know a non-zero amount of people will vote blue. Voting red is signing off on them being killed.
English

@FrogeLole @ThatGuyAbl3 @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia so if 60% of people vote red, should i have voted blue in retrospect so i can die a martyr with you?
English

@firstphas3 @ThatGuyAbl3 @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia If you vote red you’re voting for people to die. You can’t pretend like you are absolved of responsibility for how your vote affects the outcome.
English

@ThatGuyAbl3 @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia what do you think the statistical odds are that red gets a majority by one vote?
English

@firstphas3 @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia your vote could be the deciding vote that kills billions.
the only 2 situations where "no one has to die" is if 100% of all people on earth pick red (a statistical improbability) or 51% of all people vote blue
blue is easier to achieve and has the added benefit of saving others
English

@firstphas3 @ThatGuyAbl3 @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia “The fish will be fine if I dump MY garbage in the ocean.”

English

@ThatGuyAbl3 @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia i don’t know why blues fail to understand that no one has to die even if i vote red.
English

@firstphas3 @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia "Kill the children, the mentally infirm, and the alutruistic because I am a coward" is even less so.
English

@auvrelian @Artineesan @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia you’re absolutely right. whether or not you buy a phone will have no impact on whether kids die, exactly the same as me pressing red…
English

@firstphas3 @Artineesan @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia I argued that me buying the phone is irrelevant, as if I had no bought the pboen, it was still made and still died. Even if 50% of people stopped buying phones, the outcome is the same
I know what you are arguing, it simply does not hold up

this pretty much guarantees that red is the correct option. you’ve got a majority of 7% from ~300,000 votes of people who are able-minded and can process the dilemma properly.
now add the retards & children in to the equation and blue voters are almost certainly dead.

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.
English

@auvrelian @Artineesan @FrogeLole @ACMEngineer @scarlettscarlia you argued that you buying a phone doesn’t matter because people are going to buy one regardless of whether you do or not.
i’m arguing that me voting red doesn’t matter because people are going to vote red regardless of whether i do or not.
