Said this before but I’ll say it again. Just one lifetime ago in the UK, our grandfathers could buy a home, buy a car, have 3 to 4 children, wives could stay home, take annual vacations, and then retire… all on one middle-class salary. What happened? We had same day GP, ambulances within minutes, dentists, good education, decent public transport, clean river and beaches. So AGAIN WTF happened?

A Turkish activist described shocking abuse against climate campaigner Greta Thunberg during Israel’s raid on the Global Sumud Flotilla. “They dragged little Greta by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her, as a warning to others,” Ersin Celik, a flotilla participant, told Anadolu Agency. A plane carrying 137 activists from the flotilla, including 36 Turkish citizens, landed in Istanbul today. The group was welcomed by families, journalists, and supporters after their ordeal at sea. The activists had joined the mission to break the blockade on Gaza and deliver aid, before Israeli forces intercepted their ships.

Really not long now & morale (at least on my boat) is higher than it’s been in a long time 🇵🇸🇵🇸 Yesterday’s news of the Red Crescent delivering more aid to our boats escorted by a Turkish navy ship carried personal significance for me - it was the Red Crescent that saved my grandfather’s life when he was shot by Zionist terrorists in the Nakba. And while we’re at it, the boat in this picture, Sirius, is 30 years older than the state of Israel 👍

The NHS is falling apart, yet doctors are blocked from caring for patients. In 2025, 20,000 more applied than there were available training posts to become Consultants/GPs. Doctors are being shut out because the Government won’t fund enough speciality training & post CCT places. And those FY1 doctors who *are* working are paid just £18.62/hr with over £100,000 of student debt, despite providing life saving care. This is catastrophic workforce planning; wasting doctors while patients face long waiting lists. Locking doctors out of specialty training isn’t an accident; it’s a deliberate political choice.
