It was great to join the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show, an incredible Ontario tradition that showcases our province’s world-class parks, lakes and wilderness as a top destination for families and visitors to explore and enjoy.

Ontario’s Primary Care Action Plan has beaten its 2025-2026 attachment targets, connecting more than 330,000 people to primary care since it was launched last year. We’re building on this success with a new Primary Care Medical Record system that will make health care more connected, secure and convenient for patients across Ontario. We’re also launching 124 new primary care teams provincewide and increasing overall funding for the plan to a historic $3.4 billion.

I was thrilled to announce $29 million in water infrastructure funding for Perth and Wellington counties yesterday, which will support more than 5,500 homes. Across Ontario, we’re investing more than $220 billion through the largest infrastructure plan in our history to build homes, hospitals, school, transit, highways and more.

I was very sad to hear of the death of the boy who was struck by a train yesterday in Mississauga. My sincere condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

With workers across Canada under attack from President Trump’s tariffs, Team Canada needs to pull together to protect their jobs. This week, I wrote to Premier Legault and Premier Eby, asking them to drop their provincial EV mandates so we can keep Canada’s auto sector competitive and stops jobs and investment from heading south of the border.

Today, we announced the next step toward building the new Brockville Correctional Complex and expanding the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre. It was great to join the opening ceremonies of the Little NHL tournament in Markham. This incredible event brings together thousands of young athletes from First Nations communities across Ontario to celebrate sport and community.

Protecting yourself and your family shouldn’t be a crime. We’re calling on the federal government to legalize pepper spray for self-defence, as well as make DNA collection mandatory for people arrested for sexual offences. It’s time we put the rights of victims first, not those of criminals.

I joined the Sai Dham Food Bank Gala in Mississauga to recognize the incredible work this organization does fighting hunger and supporting vulnerable families across the GTA. Thanks to their work, millions of pounds of food are delivered to seniors, children and families in need each year.
