@formoxyz No, you don't need Claude Code/OpenCode, although using any of them will provide more features! And you can use your Copilot subscription with OpenCode too. Anyway, using Copilot directly is completely fine!

@fractaledmind @robzolkos play.tailwindcss.com/7LnWidTL9t Brilliant thinking. I never thought that details summary can be used as tabs. Superb. Don't know if my implementation as per what you thought, but the tabs are working I have had small enlightenment. Thanks.

@robzolkos If you want to time box 10 minutes to explore the problem, just open this Tailwind Playground and try to get the two summaries on the same line next to each other and the two contents to be below, both aligned to the left play.tailwindcss.com/XT4YASrxgX

👀 Sneak peek of a 100% plain HTML and CSS component I'm building for my next project. I'll give a full behind-the-scenes tour of the project to the first person that comments with the correct essential implementation details driving this "card tabs" component.

I challenge you to watch this conversation and not learn something about how the web works. You can’t do it. Believe me, I tried

Talk with @all__hype for hours about hypermedia. youtube.com/watch?v=u0I7f6… One thing I wanna make clear. If you are happy with HTMX and like the API and it fits your needs don't just jump to the new hotness. If you have bounced off hypermedia first approach then give it a try!

@DelaneyGillilan @all__hype So there is no decision making at the template level. Everything gets decided on the server. Need to append row, replace table or replace form. Only one place to make the decisions. This is more LOB according to me.

@DelaneyGillilan @all__hype In datastar everything is controlled from the server, It works best for the scenarios where you have full control over the backend. The frontend is just a projection of the backend and (maybe some signals). (cont)

@ClassicGamerTWR @anders_murphy Ecto also gets you lists and maps. It also allows streaming from the database - Repo.stream. If you specify the schema, it gives you a list of structs, otherwise a list of maps.

We are LIVE!!!! Go check out the NEW SITE, NEW GUIDE, NEW DOCS!! And then, when you’ve recovered from the awesomeness, go read the “V1 and Beyond” essay (much 🔥🌶️). Thank you to everyone who has contributed. It’s been an incredible journey getting here; now time to be boring!

It nearly 2am... LOTS of tools coming. Stellar is gonna be a Tailwind killer IMO. Rocket is making web components in D* a breeze and have some interesting ideas around netcode w/ rollback with WebTransport (Darkstar) on the back burner

@isocroft @ClassicGamerTWR @_trish_xD There is minimal magic and all queries are explicit, keeping me aware of the sql that is going to be generated. These abstractions are really nice in my opinion.

@ClassicGamerTWR @formoxyz @_trish_xD A query builder (which Ecto is) is not an ORM. Query builders still return object structures that map to tables and rows. There's no way around that impedance mismatch (which I agree is there). The Law of Leaky Abstraction will always hold true. You have to learn the details.

ORMs are useful. But dangerous if you don’t understand SQL. Learn: - JOIN types - GROUP BY + HAVING - Indexing - Transactions Then use the ORM. You’ll write faster, smarter code.

@isocroft @ClassicGamerTWR @_trish_xD Correct. The impedence mismatch would always be there, because the database and language structs are in different technologies. Apart from Query, Ecto also has Repo(sitory), Schema (maps/structures) and Changesets (for validating data).
