Haha my bad Mostafa 😄 Yeah exactly, that’s the bet. I don’t really think most people want another monthly subscription just for wallpapers. It feels weird to ask users to keep paying every month for something that should make their Mac look better and feel nicer. So for now I want to keep MacWall simple: pay once, use it forever. $7.99 lifetime feels more honest for this kind of app. If I ever add something subscription-based later, it would need to be for something genuinely extra, not locking basic wallpapers behind a monthly bill. Appreciate you rooting for it 🙌

@foundrdev Ha — "Cairo" is the city, name's Mostafa 😄 And my bad on $7.99 vs $9.99 — that's even gutsier pricing. $7.99 lifetime against Wallper at ~$10/mo subscription is a real positioning bet. Curious if you'll hold the line or move to subscription later. Either way, rooting for it.

Thanks Cairo, really appreciate the sharp take. Totally agree on the Sonoma+ Lock Screen motion being the wedge. I’m going to surface that much harder above the fold. And small correction: lifetime is $7.99, not $9.99. Keeping it intentionally low-friction for now while I learn how it converts.

MacWall is clean. The menu-bar pause + "pause on battery" is the detail that signals you respect the user's Mac — most live-wallpaper apps don't. Crowded niche though (Wallper, Wallspace, WallMotion all live). The Lock Screen motion on Sonoma+ is a real wedge — lead with it harder above the fold? Right now it's buried in Pro features. $9.99 lifetime is gutsy pricing. Curious how it's converting. Following. Cairo, building in public too.
