#Yaoundé: Jessica, pregnant and due any day, murdered at home — her 3-year-old son fighting for his life A pregnant woman was brutally killed this morning at her home in Yaoundé. The victim, identified as Jessica, an employee of the Yaoundé City Council (CUY) in the civil registry department, was found dead, her body bearing multiple stab wounds. What makes this tragedy even more unbearable: her 3-year-old son, who witnessed his mother's final moments, tried to step in front of her attackers. The assailants struck the child violently on the head. He is currently in intensive care. His condition remains unknown at this hour. Jessica was her mother's only child. She leaves behind a mother who is now utterly alone in the world. Divorced, she was carrying a baby due any day. Two lives were taken this morning. A third is fighting to survive in a hospital somewhere in this city. #MMINews
