I am trying to put my best foot forward but which one is it?!

Are paper rejections really that bad? My papers get read by ~3 people on average. Each rejection means a resubmission, which means 3 more readers. After 4 rejections, that's double-digit readership.

Watching your average person wrestle a rolling suitcase out of the overhead bin, set it on the floor the right way and deploy the handle reminds you most people do not know how to operate their own bodies.


@nate_knapp24 Aiming to be a superlative sets yourself in comparison to an existing field. Maybe not what greatness is either


I don't think it's a good idea to pursue greatness in any field. I think it's a good idea to pursue competence, and consistency. Greatness, if it happens, happens by accident when those things are in place.
