JUST IN: The Trump administration is not looking for a way to end this war. It is looking for a man to run Iran after the war ends. And the man they are looking at is the same man who just threatened to strike every Treasury bond holder on Earth. Politico reports that senior officials are evaluating Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf as a potential post-war partner using what they call the “Venezuela model”: install a cooperative internal figure in exchange for favorable oil terms and nuclear concessions. Officials describe Ghalibaf as “a hot option.” The process involves what insiders term a “quick test,” where candidates who fail are eliminated. That word carries weight in a war where two nuclear scientists were killed “just days ago” and Netanyahu’s hand is still outstretched. The New Yorker reports that Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince, has been dismissed internally as the “loser prince.” He lacks the internal network to challenge the regime from within. A man who left Iran in 1979 cannot deliver Hormuz in 2026. Washington needs someone inside the structure. Ghalibaf sits inside the IRGC power network, controls the parliament, and is the most visible wartime leader while Mojtaba has not appeared in 24 days. He is the man posting threats against Treasury holders while intermediaries arrange his meeting with Witkoff and Kushner in Islamabad. Simultaneously the enemy and the candidate. Joe Kent, who resigned from the National Counterterrorism Centre over an assessment that Iran posed “no imminent threat,” told Fox that “the real fight is about to begin: getting Israel on board with peace.” The war with Iran is approaching a military conclusion. The war with Israel over the terms of that conclusion has not yet started. Netanyahu said today he will “safeguard vital interests in any scenario.” If Trump offers Ghalibaf a deal that leaves any Iranian capability intact, Israel will resist. The 5-day pause is not just a window for Iran. It is a window for Washington to align Jerusalem before Saturday. This is the a mega chess game. The strikes are not the endgame. The strikes produce the endgame. Seventy percent of launchers destroyed. Nuclear scientists eliminated. Air force gone. Navy sunk. Internet dark for 504 hours. Every strike degrades Iran’s bargaining position and increases Ghalibaf’s incentive to accept terms. The violence is not separate from the diplomacy. The violence is the price-discovery mechanism. The alternative is deliberate demolition: bomb the structure into prolonged civil war, let factions consume each other for a decade, wait for the uranium programme to die of institutional collapse. That path risks nuclear material dispersal, refugee waves, China and Russia filling the vacuum, and a 20 to 30 percent global oil shock that makes the current crisis look mild. The Ghalibaf path avoids all of that. Install a cooperative figure. Reopen Hormuz. Resume flows. Secure “nuclear dust.” Declare victory. But Ghalibaf is the man who just told bond holders their portfolios make their headquarters a target. He is IRGC to his core. The question Washington has not answered: can a man whose power comes from the Revolutionary Guard be separated from it without becoming another Maduro, a figure who takes the deal, takes the revenue, and reneges on every concession the moment American attention shifts? Saturday is March 28th. The pause expires. The Islamabad meeting may or may not happen. And somewhere in Washington, officials are running the “quick test” on a man who is simultaneously their negotiating partner, their military target, and their candidate for the most dangerous job vacancy on Earth. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

BREAKING: The United States is no longer fighting this war from the sky alone. Approximately 2,500 Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, accelerated out of San Diego. Roughly 2,000 sailors. Three amphibious assault ships. An infantry battalion with helicopters, F-35s, and armoured vehicles already deploying. And now senior military leaders are actively considering sending a full brigade combat team from the 82nd Airborne Division, approximately 3,000 paratroopers from the Immediate Response Force at Fort Bragg, the unit designed to deploy anywhere on Earth within 18 hours. That is not an air campaign. That is ground force architecture. The 82nd Airborne’s IRF exists for one purpose: to put boots on hostile ground faster than any other unit in the US military. When the IRF deploys, it means someone in the Pentagon has decided that air power alone cannot achieve the objective. The objectives that require ground forces in this theater are specific and limited: Kharg Island seizure to control Iran’s primary oil export terminal, Hormuz mine clearance to physically reopen the strait, hostage rescue operations, and IRGC leadership decapitation. CBS has already confirmed at least a dozen Iranian Maham 3 and Maham 7 naval mines in the strait. You do not send paratroopers to clear mines. You send paratroopers to seize the island that controls the chokepoint while SEALs and mine countermeasure vessels clear the water. The special operations footprint is building in parallel. The 75th Ranger Regiment, Delta Force, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, and Navy SEAL teams are either operating or on high alert. These are not defensive units. These are the units that killed Bin Laden, captured Saddam, and neutralised Soleimani. Their presence in theater during a war where Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen for 24 days and Iran’s parliament speaker is the most visible wartime leader tells you exactly what menu of options is on the table. Trump paused power-plant strikes for five days. He did not pause troop deployments. He did not pause the 11th MEU. He did not pause the 82nd Airborne consideration. He did not pause special operations. The pause applies to one category of target: energy infrastructure. Everything else is accelerating. The diplomatic window and the military buildup are running on the same clock. If the talks produce nothing by Saturday, the forces will already be in position. Iran has 140 launchers remaining. Its fire rate has collapsed 89 percent. Its navy is destroyed. Its air force is gone. Its supreme leader is missing. Its internet has been dark for 504 hours. And the unit that can put 3,000 paratroopers on the ground in 18 hours is being considered for deployment. The arithmetic is not subtle. The 5-day clock is not just a diplomatic deadline. It is a staging window. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

Three meetings took place in the last 72 hours that no camera recorded. The first: a room beneath the Pentagon. No phones. No aides. Only 7 men and a decision that will reshape the Middle East before Friday. The second: a private jet. Tail number blocked. Departed Zurich at 3:17 AM. Landed at Joint Base Andrews. The passenger has not been seen in public since 2019. You were told he was dead. The third: Camp David. Not the official visit the press was briefed on. The OTHER meeting. The one with no guest list. The one where the new financial architecture was signed into law before the ink on the ceasefire was dry. Trump did not pause the strikes because of diplomacy. HE PAUSED THEM BECAUSE THE MISSION WAS ALREADY COMPLETE. The 5-day window is not for negotiations. It is for extraction. 14 high-value targets are being moved from 6 countries to a single location. A location the public will learn about soon enough. The war you saw on television is ending. The war you were never shown is entering its final phase. THE DEALS ARE SIGNED. THE GOLD HAS MOVED. THE NAMES ARE SEALED. All that remains is the announcement. And it will not come from the media. ⟁

JUST IN 🔴 The IDF says it has taken out around 330 of Iran’s estimated 470 ballistic missile launchers. More than half were destroyed in direct strikes, while others were rendered inoperable after the Israeli Air Force hit tunnel entrances to underground storage sites. The IAF is now hunting the remaining roughly 140 launchers, as incoming fire has dropped to about 10 missiles a day, down from roughly 90 on day 1.

I watched an old video of Donald Trump with his son Baron Trump when he was still very little. Trump told him: “when you grow up —no tattoo, no drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes. you will become a great entrepreneur” it struck me how intentional that moment was. the wealthy just don’t start building generational wealth. they start by first building the mindset of their children very early, very deliberate.

Germany didn’t become an industrial powerhouse by sending everyone to university. They built something smarter. It’s called Ausbildung, a structured apprenticeship system where young people earn while they learn inside real companies. A 17-year-old in Germany can train to become: • a mechatronics engineer • an industrial technician • an automotive systems expert • a precision machinist • a medical equipment technician They are paid during training. They graduate with globally respected skills. And many of them end up earning more than university graduates. Over 50% of German youth pass through this system. Now look at Nigeria. We push everyone into universities. Millions graduate every year. But the country is still importing basic technical expertise. We have degrees but we don’t have enough skills. This is why we are studying the German Ausbildung model closely to implement in the South East. Because the South East must lead Africa’s skills revolution. Imagine a structured apprenticeship system across Aba, Nnewi, Onitsha, Enugu and beyond where young people can train to become: • industrial fabricators • automotive engineers • robotics technicians • electronics specialists • renewable energy installers • precision manufacturing experts Training will happen inside real companies. With structured certification, modern tools and clear career paths. Not the informal “Igba Boy” system, but a world-class apprenticeship ecosystem. The South East already has the largest concentration of indigenous manufacturers and traders in Africa. What we need now is structure, technology, and certification. If Germany can power Europe’s manufacturing through apprenticeships, there is no reason the South East cannot power Africa’s industrial future. The next generation of millionaires in Africa will not only be software founders. Many will be master craftsmen, engineers, and industrial builders. And when Africa finally fixes its skills crisis, history may remember that the revolution started in the South East.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The ugliest plane in the Air Force is the perfect weapon for Hormuz The A-10 was built for exactly this kind of fight. It flies low enough to spot fast-attack boats hiding in coastal inlets, carries a 30mm cannon that fires 3,900 rounds per minute, and is wrapped in a titanium bathtub that shrugs off ground fire. It can loiter for hours waiting for IRGC boats to make a move. The Pentagon tried to retire it for years. Iran made it relevant again. Source: AiTelly
