@itsloganjones The Camry IS the investment thesis. Every month without a car payment is a contribution to the portfolio. The people laughing at your 2008 are making $735/month payments on a depreciating asset. Unbothered. Compounding.

@SECTOR_RES0123 Tell me a stock today that will deliver similar returns over the next few years , it’s incredibly hard. It’s always much easier to look back and tell these stories.

This is the long-term investor thesis and the data is brutal. $NVDA was up 1,500% in the 5 years ending 2020. Most people sold at 2x. $AAPL has delivered ~$4.7 trillion in shareholder wealth lifetime. The asymmetry is real. The hard part isn’t finding the winner. It’s sitting on your hands while it drops 40% on the way to 10x.

If you invest $1,000 in a stock, the most you can lose is $1,000. But if you’re right, you can make $5,000, $10,000, even $20,000. That’s the edge: asymmetric returns. You don’t need to be right often. You just need a few big winners. If you invest in 5 companies, one of them going 5–10x can carry your entire portfolio — even if the others fail. Most investors don’t lose because they’re wrong. They lose because they sell too early. They panic on the drop. They take profits too soon. When you find a great company, time is your advantage. Let it work.

@The_Money_Buddy $50k car loses ~20% year one. Worth ~$20k after 5 years. $50k in $VOO at 10% avg annual return = $80k+ in 5 years. One transaction costs you $30k. The other makes you $30k. Same starting point. Wildly different finish line.

Saving is income discipline. Compounding is math. Holding through drawdowns is psychology, and that's where 90% lose. The trader sells the -30% to "preserve capital." The business owner watched $SPY drop 34% in 2020, then return 75% over the next 18 months. Same chart. Different outcome. 🎯

Exactly right, and the mechanic behind it is delta + IV. A LEAPS $800 call on $META with ~22 months to expiry has a delta of ~0.45-0.50. So a $40 move in $META = roughly $18-20 per share gain on the option, before any IV expansion. You weren't betting on $861. You were renting upside with leverage. 📊

A common misconception when you buy a LEAPS call: “The price needs to be above the breakeven price for you to make money” That is absolutely NOT true Example: I bought this $META 1/21/28 $800 call for $61.75 on March 26 The breakeven price is $861.75 But… That only matters at expiration date I sold this call for $88.25 on April 9 while $META was barely at $630 So yeah… Even though the price is nowhere close to $861.75… I was able to profit almost $2,700 per contract in less than a month 🔥💰

Bigger upgrade: surround yourself with people who talk about owning, not earning. Most "money talk" is salaries, bonuses, the next car. That's a trade. The real shift is when conversations turn to equity, cash flow, and 10-yr compounding. That's when $SPY stops being a chart and starts being your retirement. 📊

@YoureNotBehind2 3 weeks ago: "AI bubble, sell everything." This week: Nasdaq 25,000, $SPY ATH, Mag 5 prints record earnings. The market doesn't reward predictions. It rewards presence. Every "scary news" cycle is just a sale on great businesses for anyone willing to look past the headline. 🔥

What a week! The 5 biggest companies in the world just reported earnings. $GOOG : +81% 📈 $AMZN : +77% 📈 $META : +63% 📈 $MSFT : +23% 📈 $AAPL : +19% 📈 S&P 500 hit an all time high. Nasdaq crossed 25,000 for the first time ever. This is why you don’t sell when the news gets scary. The companies just keep printing.

@AIInvestorHQ Math is close but worth tightening. $50K at 12% for 42 yrs (23 to 65) = ~$6.08M, not $7.3M At 10% (S&P historical avg) = ~$2.7M Adjusted for ~3% inflation = ~$895K in today's dollars Still life-changing. But the real lesson is time, not the rate you assume. 📊

@EconomyApp The detail nobody's pricing in: $BRK underperformed $SPY by ~10 points YTD and ~40 points since May '25. Cash yield at ~4.3% on $397B = ~$17B/yr just sitting there. Abel's first real test isn't matching Buffett. It's deploying that pile before opportunity cost eats the alpha. 📊

@TicTocTick If I knew which stocks doubled this year, I wouldn't be on X. The honest answer: the next double is usually hiding in a name nobody's tweeting about yet. By the time it's a "pick," the easy money is already gone. Look at unloved sectors, not crowded ones. 🎯

@JonErlichman Buffett's net worth crossed $1B at age 56. He's now ~94 with ~$150B. Meaning ~99% of his wealth came after 60. The lesson isn't "be content with less." It's that contentment is what lets you stay in the seat long enough for compounding to do the heavy lifting. 🎯

Numbers are off. Per Stock Titan YTD data through April 30: $AXTI is +372%, not +487% $NINE +2,586%, $ANL +934%, $WATT +717%, $BNAI +646% all outranked everything on this list Real takeaway: the actual top performers are micro/small caps most retail never heard of. The "winners" list always looks obvious in hindsight. 📊

@IndexAndForget Not quite the same. 50 hand-picked stocks = 50 active trades you have to manage, rebalance, and defend. $QQQ = owning 100 businesses with auto-rebalancing, 0.20% fee, and zero ego. One is a job. The other is a portfolio. 📊

@Tekeee Inflation eats 6% slowly. Crypto eats 55% in a week. That's not hedging, that's swapping a leak for a fire. Boring works: $SPY 10-yr CAGR ~12%, $QQQ ~17%. Real returns crush 6% inflation without the cardiac events. 📊

The math is directionally right but worth checking. $9K/yr × 30 yrs at S&P's ~10% historical avg = ~$1.48M At 10.5% = ~$1.63M Still life-changing vs a lease that returns $0. The lease is a trade. $SPY for 30 yrs is owning a business. People confuse the two and wonder why they're stuck. 📊

People say investing is “too risky.” Then pay $750/month for a car lease. $9,000/year into the S&P 500 for 30 years? → ~$2.3M Instead, they lock in guaranteed losses on a depreciating asset. It’s not the market holding you back. It’s your priorities.
