My daughter talked for years about how much she loved her 5th grade teacher.
I finally asked her what she liked about her. Her response: “She liked US!” So simple… yet so profound.
Kids gravitate to the teachers that like them. They can tell.
Comfort is, well comfortable! It's warm and cozy and loves to temp us to stay longer than we promised ourselves we would. We may experience less stress and more predictability but we miss out on untapped adventures. We stop growing! What steps can you take to get out of your comfort zone today?
For me, remaining “positive” is not about always having a great day or a perfect attitude. (We all have rough days.) But it is about keeping things in perspective. And it is about an abiding certainty that we can choose to make a difference every day, in spite of the adversity.
Sometimes things happen that don’t make sense, or that seem unfair. But God will never waste your pain. He will never waste your heartache. He will never waste your loss. He can, and will, use even the bad in order to make something good. Remember that!
So thankful to celebrate another Father's Day with our wonderful daddy! Any opportunity for us to all be together is a great day! #ThankfulGratefulBlessed
If they praise you, SHOW UP and DO THE WORK. If they criticize you, SHOW UP and DO THE WORK. If no one even notices you, just SHOW UP and DO THE WORK. Just keep showing up, doing the work, and leading the way. From page 176 of the book, "The Power of Positive Leadership."
Hard days will come. People will try your patience. What you work for won’t happen the way you hoped it would. When that day comes and you want to give up and stop pursuing excellence, keep showing up!
