This week, Year 6 have been investigating whether the length of the wire in a series circuit affects the time it takes for a bulb to light up.

Year 6 enjoyed a circus skills workshop this week. They learnt about what it is like to work in a circus and a few tricks to go with it!

What an amazing experience we had last week in Year 4 when we went to This Green Moon @greenmoonpaul! We had a great time making fires, building dens and meeting lots of animals on the farm Year 4 were exceptionally well behaved and had experiences they will never forget!

Year 1 had an absolute blast at Bridlington Beach this week! They enjoyed building sandcastles, playing ball games and having fun with the parachute. We then finished off the day with a delicious ice cream!

Year 3 have been busy in DT exploring 3D structures and understanding nets. Look at their amazing creations!

Year 2 had a very exciting visitor last week. The children got to interview Mary Seacole

Year 1 have been busy exploring different ways to count in twos in provision this week!

In Year 2 we have introduced our new class text 'The Rainbow Fish'. The children loved acting out the story.

Year 3 have been practising giving change in maths this week. They had excellent fun running their own shops and buying on a budget!

Year 6 have been busy in Art & DT this week designing and creating a 2D to 3D sculpture based on the Yellow Spotted Lizard in our class text 'Holes'.

Year 4 have been learning about the human body in Science. This week we have explored the digestive system. We drew around our bodies and then tried to put the organs in the right place with some interesting results!

Year five have created their own biomes in boxes. They included lots of facts and information to help other learn about the flora, fauna and landscapes.

Take a look at what Year 1 have been up to recently! Before the holidays, we had an exciting visit from Emmeline Pankhurst where the children asked some very inquisitive interview questions about the Suffragette movement.

Year 3 have been busy investigating the conditions that plants need to grow and thrive. We are wondering if the lovely, sunny weather has something to do with the rapid growth of our seedlings!

Year 4 ended last term with an exciting and immersive Roman day. We made Roman biscuits, create our own Roman shields and then went to Featherbank Forest to complete some Roman military exercises.

Year 6 have been busy composing some brilliant melodies this week on their ukuleles!

🐛🌼 Exciting times in Reception! Our minibeast adventure has begun as we explore the fascinating life cycle of butterflies. The children are all really enjoying watching our caterpillars grow and change each day. 🦋 We can't wait to see them transform!

We started the Summer term with a fantastic Easter Bonnet competition. Well done to all the entries from Year 5. In Maths be have begun looking at angles, learning how to measure them with a protractor.

Year 2 have started off the Summer term with their new topic 'Life Savers'. We have started to look at Florence Nightingale.

Year 3 spent the day as hunter-gatherers in the Featherbank Forest! They turned their hands to cave painting, artefact making and target practise.
