Well I tried … Went to work , Felt okayish.. Still got a cough and felt a bit washed out .. But okay .. After breakfast had a quick break and went into pastry .. And then the flu/covid/ lurgy.. Call it what you may started unraveling.. Big Chef got all masterful and sent me home again … So back in my sickbed, With my faithful hound And a cup of tea .. Two paracetamols and I will be in the land of nod .. So quiet please out there whilst I have a nap ….🥱🥱♥️

We have a curtesy car from our friendly garage in the village , And hungry husband insisted in bringing me to work this morning.. He shouldn’t have.. He was desperately poorly.. And he tried to get out of the car at the hotel to thank Tyler who brought me home yesterday and give him some petrol money .. But he couldn’t get up the three steps to the kitchen.. I stood there torn between a poorly man that I love and a job that I have to do to pay the bills .. So I made an executive decision.. I told my chef that after breakfast I was going home to my husband.. So for the first time in about thirty years .. I’m on a bus .. Going home …♥️

Ohh my god .. Ohh my god .. Ohh my god .. As a lot of you know I turn the big 60 this year .. And my youngest ..Alfie turns 30.. So .. we have decided to treat ourselves quite spectacularly in this special year .. We are going to stay at @TheSavoyLondon The Savoy in London for a night in October as that is midway between our birthdays.. We are both ridiculously and insanely excited for this… We booked it yesterday and chatted to a most wonderful young lady called Daisy who booked us in and listened to us prattling on about the time we came to stay when Alfie was a small boy .. We have worked our socks off for this .. And yes , It is an awful lot of money and maybe it is very precocious and pretentious.. But frankly I don’t care .. I /we deserve this … My little boy sent me this this morning… ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Well, I had just literally finished breakfast shift and was clearing down and the lights begin to flicker and then went out Word from energy suppliers is … half of lavenham is completely without power.. Meet my 91 year old mother in law Rose.. Hungry husband and I took her out to lunch at one of her favourite restaurants so she could have the grilled lamb chops.. Her absolute favourite dish Just look at that cheeky grin of hers.. She certainly made short work of that lamb..😊
