@Ham__mm2 i mean mine dont fit super perfectly and they do hurt alot more after not wearing them, but theres really not much difference for me to be consistently wearing them

@ihateretainers Honestly I don't understand how this works because I went several months without retainers and they still fit in my teeth when I do wear them for like 1 night. Also my orthodontist never even told me I had to do it lifelong so that confused me even more

If you’re currently wearing braces or are planning to get one, I have a little sad news for you. After you take your braces off, your retainers will become a lifelong partner. You’ll have to wear it at least 3-4 nights in a week FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. On the flip side, you’ll have a straight smile.😁 I went rouge and didn’t wear mine for over two weeks. I just put it on now - good new is that it fits. Bad news is that the pain I’m experiencing now is similar to the pain you get on every braces adjustment visit. Mind you, it’s been 4 years since I took out my braces. Apparently, the teeth have muscle memory and will keep trying to shift back.😩
