why would i get greatest success in life, neither i am genius nor i am privileged, gotta lock in and do hard work like maniac to change the life, that's what i can do, everywhere i see big liars with less action towards their goals, just yappers, being one of them is the big lose, one person getting what truly i want in some corner of the world is hurtful, that pain comes with lesser confidence and self belief in self, i am finding that one key which changes the whole life, human achievements are too shallow at this point, there is more and more to deep dive into, having feel of you can do better than this and you're still 1% of what you always wanted to be is the most haunted thing humans can ever feel if you are curious and ambitious soul, i can see the blurry vision of life, there would be solution of it somewhere in this darkness but finding them requires tons of efforts, which efforts are beyond human imagination at this point but one thing is sure, i don't accept this life, i would find best life for myself, it's not a dream anymore, it's purpose of living the life at this point for me. i would pour my soul in science forever....

@shreyadoesstuff i filled the application while i was trekking on mountain, just imagine the answers i have written while doing something else, still i got in just 1 hour after the application was sent to the team. there's no criteria for getting selected

Weird shit from 14th May- I didn't post this back then coz exams but I wrote something: There's something about GirlScript Summer of Code that confuses me. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's always felt a little... off. Sus vibes, as I'd call it. So I ran an experiment. I applied at roughly 2pm today. Wrote the most half-hearted answers I could to their two questions Why GSSoC? and What do you want to learn? purely to see what the process looks like from the inside. I wasn't trying to get in. I was trying to understand the filter. Got the acceptance email 2.5 hours later. I'm genuinely confused. Not in an outrage way, I'm not making allegations. But I do have questions. What exactly is the selection criteria here? Because if half-hearted answers clear the bar in under three hours, either the bar is very low or there isn't much of one. What's the applicant-to-acceptance ratio? Are they accepting the majority of people who apply? And if yes, what does that mean for the people flexing it on their resumes?

@VazeKshitij @Wahidkhan7852 i noticed one more thing, some projects are just half baked projects on the name of projects, it feels like admins are just assigning half baked projects to us just so they can get fully completed project for their own gain.

Per @Wahidkhan7852 i need to talk about GirlScript Summer of Code / GSSoC 2026. Yes, this is a long rant. this program has 43,000+ participants. it markets itself as india's largest open source initiative. it has sponsor logos, swag, certificates, badges, the whole production. and underneath all of that it is one of the most embarrassing displays of fake engineering culture i have ever seen in my life. let me explain what happens inside GSSoC for anyone who hasn't been unfortunate enough to witness it. contributors don't come to learn. they come to farm. it's a race to comment "pls assign" or abuse GitHub Actions to "/assign" them every issue in every repo before reading a single line of the codebase. then the PRs are ChatGPT output, pasted wholesale, not tested, not read, not understood. sometimes they don't even remove the AI explanation text at the top. just raw model output submitted. project admins are not better. some of them registered their own projects, label every issue as "level:critical" and "type:security" because the scoring config rewards that with 150 points per PR instead of 70. merge your friends' garbage PRs. collect project admin points for every merge. collect contributor points from other repos where your friends are admins. mentors signed up for the badge, got their linkedin title, and disappeared. the contributors they were supposed to guide have never received a single review comment from them. and GSSoC? GSSoC responded to all of this by creating a gssoc:ai-slop label. a literal hardcoded label in their scoring infrastructure to filter out AI generated garbage. they also did a quiet leaderboard reset in may after "community reports" and moved on like nothing happened. i pulled their live API. #1 has 54,917 points. minimum 50 points per merged PR. that's 1,100+ merged pull requests in 5-6 weeks. 31 PRs a day. every day. #2 has 50,548. #3 has 47,446. #5 has a contributor score of 19,492 AND a project admin score of 20,815 from his own registered project. And this is after the cleanup. this is the sanitized version. the worst part isn't even the farming. it's that everyone lets it happen. the program org lets it happen. the project admins let it happen. the companies sponsoring this let it happen. and thousands of students walk away with a certificate that says they contributed to open source when what they actually did was learn how to game a points formula. real contributors, the ones actually reading code, actually fixing things, actually learning something, are getting buried. their PRs sit in review while the repo owner is busy merging 30 AI PRs from their college friends. i'm inside this program and i'm genuinely angry that something with this much reach and potential decided that engagement metrics matter more than anyone learning anything. Open Source is not a point system. it never was. link to the leaderboard: gssoc.girlscript.org/leaderboard

last year i participated in this program, in the project which i was contributing, the mentor was just pasting chatgpt generated comments to my PR while reviewing, so i stopped after one point after getting tired of AI slop comments on my real PRs. this year also i participated but didn't get time to contribute.

Someone just built a website for open source programs. - You can check all the OSS programs that run each year. - Easily find ways to participate and earn stipends. - They also added a community forum where you can share your tips, experiences, and stories. This looks like a solid hub for anyone into open source. What program are you targeting next?

I just spent months handwriting a 200 page guide on the entirety of ML foundations and math from scratch. The guide features: - Neural Nets (Backprop, Adam, SGD, Batch Norm) - ML Algorithms (SVM, Grad Boosting, K-means, PCA) - Hardware (Tensor Cores, Systolic Arrays, CUDA) - Transformers (Multi-Head Attn, KV Cache, LoRA) - Vision (ViT, Convolutions, MAE, IoU, NMS, VLM) - Agents (OpenClaw, ReAct, Memory, Orchestration) Everything I wish I had years ago, for free.

National Testing Agency
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has noted certain messages circulating on social media and messaging platforms claiming a "leak," advance access, or "sale" of the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination question paper. These claims are false, fraudulent, and intended to mislead. Such content is the work of organised cheating rackets that prey on the anxiety of students and their families. Their objective is to extort money by selling fake "papers," and every such claim circulating is a fabrication. NTA wishes to make the following absolutely clear: 1. The integrity of the examination process is fully intact, and every safeguard is in place to ensure a fair and secure examination for all candidates. 2. NTA is actively identifying and reporting the offending channels, accounts, and content to the concerned platforms and to cyber-crime authorities for immediate takedown and action. 3. NTA is filing a formal complaint with law-enforcement and cyber-crime authorities. Creating, circulating, or forwarding such fraudulent content — and attempting to defraud students — is a serious punishable offence, and strict action will be taken against those responsible. 4. Candidates and parents are strongly advised not to engage with, pay, or forward any such message, and not to fall prey to these fraudulent solicitations. We urge all aspirants to ignore these rumours and to rely solely on official communication issued by NTA through its verified website and channels. Any genuine information will come only from these sources. To every candidate appearing for NEET (UG) 2026 — focus on your preparation with confidence. Your hard work is what matters, and NTA stands committed to conducting a fair, secure, and credible examination. #NEETUG2026 #NTA
