caleb and john are very different personalities (debatable about empress vs anette) but the whole pseudo-incest guilt complex, and “if i have to be a monster, then i want to be your monster; did you know, i was made like this for you, i was made in your image”is soooo similar

was thinking that imperial thronesong could really be lady devil in another universe,,, obsession with power and control while the world is spiralling around you

i propose five tail fox mc and xyz having to deal with her poor attempts at seduction (he teases her saying that she’ll never be able to gain a sixth tail let alone nine)

@merylisk yes! i think there’s smth so satisfying about his pov, it’s usually what i reach for. difficult to write but if done well it really scratches the brain. i think 1st person would be rlly interesting too!

i don’t really have an eye for detail but i am very good at brainrotting 🫶 and poring over characters until they’ve been worn down

one thing i appreciate about him is that he always works toward that one goal of making sure his little sister is safe. that, and free from restrictions. unfettered? like trying to raise a wild flower or unruly ivy

familiar things: - caleb forcing mc’s hand by invoking “tradition” (re: captive bird, forgiveness coupon) - caleb sacrificing everything to elevate mc’s standing, so she’s free to do as she pleases; his biggest wish is to see her capricious and willful (thronesong, clearday)

some things i thought about from rewatching trailer: - there caleb goes again with the feeding thing (ofc) - biting again too… my god does he get bitten a lot - hand holding (lewd) - mc being rlly willful (a++ keep at it, her demands know no bounds, yet always being indulged)

@appleskad1 good points! i think being more descriptive could help for sure — i tend to be somewhat sparse when there’s quick back and forth dialogues, so adding details would probably make things more clear esp if it’s rooted in that specific pov

@inabsolutions You could also solve it through dialogue, but then your FMC needs a very distinctive voice or quirk. (6)

does anyone have tips for 3rd person pov for unnamed mc by the way,,, it gets confusing especially when there’s other female characters in the scene
