Watching TV and started smelling something burning just now. My @InSinkErator Badger 1 garbage disposal was burning up while NOT being used. Thankfully I was home or who knows what would have happened! I have to figure out how to pay for a new one. Suggestions on brands please?

@InSinkErator your representative lied to our plumber. Our new insinkerator imploded. There was no fork or plastic piece in it. It is brand new and under warranty and the plumber bought and installed it. HORRIBLE customer service.

@EarlyGray5 Sorry for the frustration of having to make another trip to get a power cord kit. We offer both corded and un-corded disposers—many retailers choose to carry just the un-corded with a separate cord kit to accommodate as many people as possible.

@ryanwils @ryanwils We spoke to the Water Team and they said it wouldn’t be a problem for you to do this. Your tank will need to reheat when it turns back on which usually takes around 7-8 minutes.

@InSinkErator Hi! Question about your hot water dispensers: would it be okay to put one on a smart switch to turn it off overnight/during the day to reduce power consumption?

@JamesThake @InSinkEratorUK Yay! Don’t be afraid to grind those avocado pits. Grinding pits & bones is actually great for your disposal—they scrape off leftover food particles that can cause odor.

@InSinkErator Please include a compression fitting in all hot water dispenser products. I had to make a return trip to @HomeDepot to complete installation of the Contour. The part costs pennies. I’d gladly pay the extra price to make you whole. Customers would appreciate it.

@InSinkErator Hi--do hot water faucet heaters need a dedicated circuit? Your instructions say they can share, but our contractor says it will trip and wants to charge us to add a dedicated circuit. What's the amperage for the disposal + heater?
