I’m looking for room in a preoccupied flat around Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Manikonda. I’m a software engineer, prefer Telugu flatmates, non-smoker/non-drinker, and would like to cook non veg on weekends DM if you have any leads.

@Priyansh_31Dec They review a diff in 10 mins and drop a comment. It takes me half a day to understand the comment and another day to fix it. The amount of experience they’ve built is insane

A senior (L7) adds a comment on my doc, I think about it for 10 min and come up with a response. Then I take a step back and think for 1 more hour only to realise how deep and nuanced that comment was. Please tell me how these people think what they think. It is a privilege to feel dumb honestly because it keeps you grounded and hungry to keep learning.

I was giving an interview for an AI engineer role, and instead of the usual ML algorithms and neural networks, I was asked about Restricted Boltzmann Machines and how they work. I missed it. You shouldn’t. Here’s the breakdown I figured out later. Boltzmann Machines were introduced in the mid 1980s as an early way to learn patterns from data. They are mainly used when the data is about relationships between things, not direct input-output mapping. For example: which pixels appear together in images which words appear together in text Instead of predicting an output, the goal is to model these relationships. Now think of the model as a set of units (neurons) that can be active (1) or inactive (0). A state means one possible combination of all these units. Each state represents one possible way the model is interpreting the data. Now the model defines an energy for every state. Lower energy → better match with data Higher energy → worse match So instead of computing output in one forward pass, the model keeps updating these units and moves toward low-energy states. This process is based on probability, where better states are more likely to appear. Over time, it settles into a stable configuration that represents the learned pattern. Because this involves repeated updates, it is slower compared to modern neural networks. Restricted Boltzmann Machines simplify this by limiting connections, making training more practical. So while modern neural networks compute outputs directly, Boltzmann Machines learn by finding stable patterns that best explain the data.

@itsmenikhitha Try to get credit card discount on flights, it will help you a lot. Figure out which cc offers are running and find friends/friend's parents/anyone who has that cc and get the offers. You won't believe how much discounts you can get lol
