Really bad result on this hit, and I might be in the minority but I didn’t see Tsyplakov actually make head contact. Thought Poehling’s head whipped back from the shoulder-to-shoulder contact. Tsyplakov is a brick shithouse but not a dirty player.

NHL Card 1/14: Ivan Fedotov (PHI): Over 20.5 saves -125 (MGM): 2.5/2u Jordan Binnington (STL): Over 23.5 saves -120 (MGM): 2.4/2u Leevi Merilainen (OTT): Over 23.5 saves -110 (Fanatics): 1.65/1.5u In the first half of the season, goalie saves unders were hitting at least 60-65% of the time. Now the books have caught on, I believe they have overadjusted on some of the lines. These are the 3 goalies that I like to go over on their total tonight. The Flyers are traveling on back-to-back and the Jackets should have the fresher legs and they shoot a lot to begin with. Fedotov isn’t a good goalie but if he hangs in there, he should make enough saves to get the job done. Calgary has been one of the most consistent teams all year when it comes to shooting the puck. Even on a back-to-back, I still like Calgary to let it rip. Binnington is also a very solid goalie. Merilainen should see plenty of shots tonight. Since Barzal’s return from injury, we’ve seen the Islanders shoot the puck a lot more and I’ll back that to continue.

The NHL has been weird lately. Goalies saves lines 2 years ago used to be like 27.5 or 28.5 on average. I remember seeing John Gibson have a saves line of 35.5 and 36.5 when he would play a team like Florida who shot the puck a ton… and now you will never see that. Now the average is like 23.5 for a saves line because stat corrections are being looked at as closely as ever now and the books have caught onto it. Same goes for shots on goal. Have you guys wondered why goalies stats this year are awful? It’s because of stat corrections. I’ve been monitoring the situation closely and will hand out SOG and save props soon, but want to make sure I’m handing out the right plays before I do.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams: 2 Leg SGP +100 (Fanatics): Rams +8 Hockenson 35+ rec yds 2.5/2.5u Rams +8 - The Rams have only lost 1 game by 8+ with Puka in the lineup all year. The Vikings also play lots of tight games and I think this will be another one. Hockenson 35+ - he hit this number in 14/15 games last season. He’s had a down year, but he draws himself a great matchup. The Rams have allowed the opposing TE1 to get 59+ rec yds in 4 straight games. He’s also gotten 5+ targets in 7 straight games so he should get his looks tonight.

GB vs. PHI: Devonta Smith (PHI): Over 56.5 rec yds -110 (FD): 2.2/2u I think he will be the guy today. GB struggles against WR2s.

DEN vs. BUF Josh Allen (BUF): 1+ TD -125 (DK): 2.5/2u Keeping it simple. He should get in.

Sony Open ⛳️ Final Round: Eric Cole to win +800 (FD): 1/8u Adam Schenk -130 over Jackson Suber (DK): 1.3/1u Sepp Straka -105 over Taylor Pendrith (DK): 2.1/2u Russell Henley -125 over Keegan Bradley (FD): 5/4u Cole to win - with the winds up again scrambling is going to be vital. Cole is typically excellent around the greens, and he is in 2nd place with that part of his game being below average this week. I think he breaks through and gets win number 1. We still have Henley as a dark horse too. Schenk over Suber - going with the better scrambler and more experienced golfer in tougher conditions Straka over Pendrith - going with the better scrambler and better golfer at the lower price. Pendrith is one of the best drivers on tour and he should drive it well today, but his putting island scrambling are weaknesses of his game. His irons have also not been sharp this week. Straka is the better iron player and is the better scrambler of the two. Henley over Bradley - Bradley gained nearly 4.5 strokes with his putter yesterday. I typically always fade people the round after gaining 4+ strokes putting. Henley has also been very consistent this tournament. I think he’s poised to have a big final round. If Henley putts well this round, he should win big.

I like the Steelers +9.5 right now I just trust Mike Tomlin in this spot to keep it close

Livebet: Justin Herbert (LAC): Over 6.5 rushing yards -120 (MGM): 3/2.5u Reality is sinking in. Herbert is an overrated QB and to make matters worse, his weapons are not good outside of Ladd McConkey. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t start trying to take it upon himself with his legs in the 2nd half. He’s hit this number in 7 of his last 9 too.
