I know he learns this from nature shows, but our 4yr old’s vocabulary amazes me sometimes. He just said this out of nowhere: “A jaguar was drinking water and a tiger came by. The jaguar sensed it, and scuttled away.” Like what?? SCUTTLED?

@kh Freehand should do the trick then! So much good food nearby, too.

@kh Naw, Freehand doesn’t have an ageist thing like some other boutique hotels can have. Honestly most of LA’s boutique hotel scene is chill! Silverlake Pool & Inn is another good spot that’s close to DTLA, a bit more mature, and not fully in the thick of it.

@kh It’s a tossup between Freehand & Standard. Heard good things about SoHo + it’s more arts district located (huge bonus IMO). I like The Hoxton hotel’s vibes best, but the pool is small-ish and the light more is limited.

@laurenlemon This same thing happens with horror during October. I’m 100% convinced it’s an effort to get you to pay $ to the streaming services so the distro makes ✨some✨ money during the peak viewing time of year. They almost always come back on the 1st of the following month, too.

Am I mistaken, or are there significantly less Christmas movies on streaming services this year?

Okay so I have become obsessed with this immigrant-run fabric store here and I found a perfect fabric for curtains. Does anyone have a reasonable LA rec for a person who can make some curtains? If you tell me to learn how I’m gonna set a fire.
