💥 Super excited to launch GPT-Rosalind, our first frontier model built for scientific research across biology, drug discovery, and translational medicine. The model is trained in chemistry, protein engineering, genomics and more, including built-in knowledge of relevant databases and tools researchers use. We want to make these capabilities available to scientists and researchers while maintaining strong safeguards against biological misuse. GPT-Rosalind is launching through a trusted access deployment structure for qualified customers. We're also launching a Life Sciences plugin for Codex to everyone today, which works with our mainline models as well as GPT-Rosalind.

anthropic just got community noted for being deceptive in how they report their own benchmarks. people seem to have a deep affection for dario, anthropic, and the overall culture and taste of this ‘brand’ so much so they’ll need 0 proof to believe it’s a 10t model and a huge huge leap on sota. these are extraordinary claims with 0 proof. if openai made the same move, half the timeline would be calling bs.

everyone talking about claude mythos like it's the biggest model ever and will be insanely expensive to run, but gpt 5.4 pro is already publicly available and costs significantly more. there are actually 4 benchmarks in common: it's a tie on gpqa, mythos is much better at HLE, and 5.4 pro wins on BrowserComp (mythos uses compaction at 200k here, we don't know about oai) one interesting point imo is how the evaluation focus differs between the two, for instance oai skips SWE Bench (or coding evals) for 5.4 pro and focuses on frontier science tasks question now is whether 5.4 pro is a bigger model than 5.4? > GPT-5.4 pro uses more compute to think harder and provide consistently better answers. from the wording it seems to be the same model as the other, just with more thinking and likely smth like best of N sampling inside the CoT?

Honestly this chart makes me more bullish on GPT 5.4 Pro than anything else. People are focusing on Mythos looking strong, but what stands out to me is how well 5.4 Pro already stacks up on the overlap we actually have. GPQA is basically a tie at 94.4 vs 94.5. BrowseComp is a win for GPT 5.4 Pro at 89.3 vs 86.9. Yes, Mythos is ahead on Humanity’s Last Exam, 56.8 vs 42.7 without tools and 64.7 vs 58.7 with tools, but the bigger point is that 5.4 Pro is already this competitive right now. So if GPT 5.4 Pro is already THIS COMPETITIVE here, then Spud Pro, the next OpenAI flagship, is guaranteed to beat Mythos. This chart makes OpenAI look extremely close before its next real jump, and once that next jump lands I do not think Mythos stays ahead.

openai messed up this was a badly timed change > 2x usage bonus ends > cut 5h usage limits for plus subs (weekly stays the same) of course people are gonna be pissed now you’d think they would learn from anthropics mistakes, but i guess not

It’s pathetic how Anthropic consistently manipulates the public by hyping up "security concerns" just to sell their latest model Sure, Mythos might beat Opus 4.6 (just like the next update will), but using deceptive benchmarks and fake panic to mislead people is just disgusting The way they try to cause massive panic and fearmongering BS to promote their models is beyond exhausting

🤯 Mythos is NOT as good as Anthropic portrayed. - Non-standard benchmarks - Training on solution sets - Security concerns are real (but they spent $20k+ to push models to find exploits) Don’t believe all the hype. It’s probably better than Opus, but not as good as it’s being portrayed.
