@RutgersAltRoute A5: Obviously the victim of bullying must be the priority and be protected, we should also remember that the bully (who is also a student) requires just as much care from us as the victim. Offering them support can often stop the problem at the source. #TeacherEd#SafeSchools
@RutgersAltRoute Students need to know that they have adults that they can talk to without judgement and the line of communication to these adults should be clear and open at all times. Staff members who works with these students should communicate with each other as well. #TeacherEd#SafeSchools

@RutgersAltRoute I teach students with developmental disabilities, so I have never really dealt with HIB in the classroom, but I can imagine that the biggest challenge and the biggest opportunity is how we as educators respond to harassment and bullying. #TeacherEd#SafeSchools

@RutgersAltRoute I often have trouble finding technological resources that are appropriate for the unique needs of my SPED learners. Most times I end up just creating my own resources, which can be very time consuming and a good way to end up on the path to burnout. #EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute 2/2 I also used to share videos with families with class updates once or twice a marking period. They could see my face and hear me explain what we were working on, as opposed to just reading an email #TeacherEd#EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute My colleagues and I share resources via email and the shared drive on our computer network. I also attend a lot of online trainings an professional development opportunities via Zoom to connect with those outside my school. #TeacherEd#EdTech
