What if dess is a direct paralel to susie? What if dess simply ran away from home into one of the dark worlds to escape her mother and her abuse?

I think if Dess willingly left, it adds an interesting irony to Asgore's tragedy, because he's obsessed with finding the "perpetrator" - and if FRIEND did lure and kidnap her, he's right about there being a perpetrator to find and stop, just wrong about who it was.
