Every week for the past 6 months, someone has asked me when Azuki TCG is dropping. Players, collectors, store owners... Today's the day: tcg.azuki.com We could have waited for the full launch in local card shops this summer. But the demand was already there, so we wanted to give everyone an early opportunity to get the product. We just spent $35k on @AzukiTCG cards, and it's all going to members on @phygitals If we weren't distributing them, i'd lock them up and sit on it for 5-10 years (nfa but easy play imo) - great ip - goated team - high quality products - tcgs are booming / here to stay 🫘🥷

@Gee__Gazza that’s what got me into NFTs in the first place back in 2021-2022 spending millions on a JPEG? i need to connect with these people, like you are rich enough that millions is something you can just “burn” on a JPEG

@Xeer the beauty of web3 is there’s always a chance that NFT holders will get an upside or even rare card holders (PBT chip) as the company/game grows bigger but with web2 companies like Riot and Riftbound, Bandai and One Piece, there’s a 0% chance of that happening

They told you over and over they’re pivoting to a TCG-first company. If you’re still holding the NFT (which was basically a Kickstarter for the TCG), do it for the art and vibes. If you expected anything beyond that, that’s on you. Personally, happy for the Azuki team and the people actually buying the TCG because they enjoy the game. That’s how this is supposed to work. There’s an infinite number of TCGs out there. Pick your poison. I got into Riftbound (League of Legends) recently and I’m definitely not sitting here expecting Riot to start giving me “holder benefits” for owning cardboard they printed not so long ago. 🤣
