Begone unbelief, My Savior is near, And for my relief Will surely appear: By prayer let me wrestle, And He wilt perform, With Christ in the vessel, I smile at the storm. Though dark be my way, Since He is my guide, ’Tis mine to obey, ’Tis His to provide; Though cisterns be broken, And creatures all fail, The word He has spoken Shall surely prevail. His love in time past Forbids me to think He’ll leave me at last In trouble to sink; Each sweet Ebenezer I have in review, Confirms His good pleasure To help me quite through. Determined to save, He watched o’er my path, When Satan’s blind slave, I sported with death; And can He have taught me To trust in His name, And thus far have brought me, To put me to shame? Why should I complain Of want or distress, Temptation or pain? He told me no less: The heirs of salvation, I know from His word, Through much tribulation Must follow their Lord. How bitter that cup, No heart can conceive, Which He drank quite up, That sinners might live! His way as much rougher, And darker than mine; Did Jesus thus suffer, And shall I repine? Since all that I meet Shall work for my good, The bitter is sweet, The medicine is food; Though painful at present, Wilt cease before long, And then, O! how pleasant, The conqueror’s song! --Words: John Newton, Olney Hymns (London: W. Oliver, 1779),

Take not thought for food or raiment, Careful one, so anxiously; For the King Himself provideth Food and clothes for thee. He who daily feeds the sparrows, He Who clothes the lilies bright, More than birds and flowers holds thee Precious in His sight. Wouldst thou give a stone, a serpent, To thy pleading child for food? And shall not thy heav’nly Father Give thee what is good? On the heart that careth for thee Rest thou then from sorrow free; For of all most tender fathers None so good as He. Seek thou first His gracious promise, Treasure stored in Heav’n above; So thou may’st entrust all other Safely to His love. Unto Thee, O bounteous Father, Glory, honor, praise be done; With the Son and Holy Spirit, God for ever One. Words: Anonymous, in the Chalons-sur-Marne Breviary, 1736

TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE Take my LIFE, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee. Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my HANDS, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love. Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee. Take my VOICE, and let me sing always, only, for my King. Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee. (Thank You, Lord, for saving my voice from throat cancer. kk I will use it to sing 4 You 4ever!) kk Take my SILVER & MY GOLD; not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose. Take my WILL, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine. Take my HEART, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne. Take my LOVE, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store. Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee. Frances R. Havergal, February 1874. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12

@newstart_2024 This is nonsense, using random weirdness to find God when we have His Word that reveals Himself to us and teaches us everything He wants us to know on how to live and walk. We have a wonderful treasure/a gift of God without measure/we will travel together/my Bible and I.

RFK Jr. made one simple decision that changed everything. After 14 years of heroin addiction, he read Carl Jung’s book on synchronicity and decided: “I’m going to start believing in God — even if it improves my chances of recovery by just one percent.” He started “acting as if” there was a higher power watching him, that life was a test, and he had to do the right thing even when no one was looking. The very same day he finished the book, an improbable synchronicity happened on a volleyball court that made him think, “This is God talking to me.” It was the beginning of his 43 years of sobriety. A raw, powerful reminder that sometimes the smallest intellectual leap — “I’ll act as if” — can open the door to real transformation. Have you ever had a moment where “acting as if” something was true ended up changing everything for you?
