@EricLDaugh Larger companies will just hire in overseas offices. Deprioritize/layoff local workforce. Cheaper cost in LATAM/Canada/Asia. This just gave the larger companies even more excuse to lay off US workforce

Wrong.Truman committee was run by the senate. Clinton’s NPR had to also go through senate with their proposals. Unlike the current DOGE which is operating as an autocracy while creating havoc disregarding due process & ignoring the checks and balances of the gov. Its autocracy.

DOGE has existed twice before Most recently was under President Clinton’s “National Partnership for Reinventing Government” and most famously in 1941 under Then-Senator Truman’s “Truman Committee”. Interesting that historically BOTH previous efforts at DOGE were Democratic led. Also important to know that with very little money, specifically less than $7M over 7 years, the Truman Committee saved the USA $10-15B. These are 1941 dollars. Adjusted for inflation, the Truman Committee saved USA almost $250B of today’s dollars.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren is throwing a tantrum over RFK Jr. passing the initial Senate Finance Committee vote, arguing that allowing vaccine manufacturers to be sued is dangerous.
“Vaccine manufacturers often operate on very slim profit margins.
If they get sued repeatedly and successfully, they simply move out of the vaccine space.
We've already seen this happen with vaccines in the past.”
To be clear, she’s arguing that Big Pharma should be shielded from lawsuits—even when their vaccines cause harm.
Some of these people are truly insane.

If there is truly a major shortage of skilled tech workers in this country, why did Tesla lay-off over 7,500 American workers last year — including many software developers and engineers at its factory in Austin, Texas — while applying to hire thousands of H-1B guest workers?
