A word of encouragement to small creators:
We all start somewhere.
When I started almost four years ago, I was so ignorant that I didn’t even understand the dynamics of logarithmic follower growth. My ambition was so small and modest.
But now that I have reached that elusive status of “established creator,” I want everyone to know: I am always willing to help out people who ask me for advice in a serious, professional manner. If you are a stranger who is already somewhat established, we can talk in DMs. If you are a stranger who has no publicly discernible, earnest effort at creation, I will not do this in DMs, but you are invited to ask me PUBLIC questions or to pay for a consultation. This is way more than what I ever got, and also the most that I can offer given my energy levels and commitments. But I do not begrudge you.
In the end, remember this: if you have a sustaining motivation and a clear goal, you can go pretty far in this industry. I’m proof.
