a fun fact I haven’t seen anyone mention is that gambit’s middle name “Etienne” originated in fanfiction and became canon most likely because somebody googled gambit full name and just took it as fact.

@riteshwriter i saw a similar misuse of "accessibility" on a booktok video, a self-pub author was imploring readers not to hate on printed-black edges because they're "more accessible" to self-pub authors than stained edges. using "more accessible" to mean "less expensive"

I'm not a fan of a "cartoony" style, I'm a student comics storytelling and utilizing the medium. I consider the work that we do, the real work, to be inside the reader's head, not on the page. I gravitate towards artists who feel that way & want to play with the comics language.
