A settlement is not a conviction. People settle civil disputes every day for privacy, cost, reputation, and to avoid years of litigation. Paying someone money does not equal an admission of guilt. In Ronaldo’s case, there was never a criminal conviction. The Nevada investigation was ultimately closed and prosecutors stated they could not prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt. You can believe whatever you want personally, but “he paid money” is not evidence that someone was found guilty of a crime.
