Yes, it's possible to connect an Akai APCmini to an LP2 using a DOREMiDi. The MIDI merges allows the LP2 to talk to the computer at the same time.

Made some progress today. The LP1, LP2 and the Raspberry Pi LP1 all have SDcards for storage. In fact, they have far more storage than is normally needed. I now have the software archiving every loop. Now working on LooperlativeConfigure to manage those archives.

I haven't had time to do detailed help for the Raspberry Pi version of the LP1 software, but I wanted to make it available to anybody that wants to give it a try. You will find all the downloads and a tiny bit of info on this page: looperlative.com/rpi-lp1

Very close to having LooperlativeConfigure done. I just need to test the Windows installer. The Mac version installs on x86 or ARM Macs. I finally have a configuration tool that uses the same sources to build Mac or Windows.

Successfully, wrote all the code that registers and licenses the LP1 software on a Raspberry Pi. Still need to do some code clean up next weekend, but the Pi LP1 is nearly here. I will initially be offering the software as a free trial at least through the end of the year.

Real progress on the Raspberry Pi loop software. It definitely looks like I'll have something to release in the next month or two.

Getting items off my Looperlative to-do list this weekend. Explored LP1 hardware updates, and tested the new Rev F LP2. The LP2 changes will give the Rev F a lowered price and even cleaner audio.

Travel and illness set me behind schedule, but I'm back to full speed. Will be trying to ship the first beta version of the Pisound LP1 at the end of this week.

The top LP1 is a new LP1 getting tested before being sent off to its owner. I still love the LP1. The feature set really is very amazing and the front panel buttons make the entire feature set available without needing to connect a computer.

While the Python app is no longer the focus, it is still useful to me. So, I updated the Python sources on github to support some of the features that have been going in to the V3.xx line of code. Have been working out the kinks in the rPi port as I prepare for the Loopfest.

New control applications and new firmware available on the new beta software page. Windows app is now released through the Windows app store. More configuration available via the apps making the LP2 closer to a smaller LP1. Look here: looperlative.com/beta-software

Continued progress on the Mac control app. LP1 status, log and upgrade are working. Just a few more items to make it equivalent to the Windows app. Getting much closer.

Rewrote/cleaned up the LPMIDIControl app code for Mac. I'll now expand it to be equivalent to the new Windows app that I have ready to go.

Windows application waiting on Microsoft certification. Working on revising the Mac application rather than use the Windows application on Mac. Cross platform toolkit didn't handle Mac as well as I liked.

Getting closer. The new configuration application is getting close to a first release. All those little SysEx files are now integrated into the configuration tab. No need to keep track of small SysEx files. This leaves testing on Windows and Mac, code clean-up, and signing.

Moving along with the new control app. Both Windows and Mac can talk to an LP1 or LP2. The new version of the LP1/LP2 software reports the last MIDI button press to the control software to allow it to automatically select that button on the configuration page.

Woohoo! I have a basic control application for the LP1 that now works equally well on Windows and Linux. I just need to get my developer certificates before I can properly release to each platform. Next step is to include the MIDI interface for each platform.
