@WanderingBasil This is a problem, because people emulate those above them. When you have human scum leading the nation as a consequence the nation suffers, rampant corruption, civil strife, and war. We’re having civil wars because people in power are united in fucking over the nation.

@WanderingBasil Stripped of our original elites the very ones who held us together we were left with a void within the nation. As nature abhors a vacuum, there was a rush to fill that void, the vast majority of whom were unscrupulous men and women who would do anything for power and wealth.

@WanderingBasil I have a simple answer, but it will be hard in execution. Ethiopia as we know it, is a haphazard creation that was barely held together by our monarchs and an elite knit together through feudal obligations. This is no more, the derg made sure of it.

@NazRepubblicana What's long-term to you? Revolutions have a half-life, if not done within a time frame the fire will sputter out.

I’ve always pushed the idea of fighting the Long War, that revolution or collapse or whatever you wanna call it is a long-term goal, probably not happening in our lifetime. Now I don’t think we even have five years.
