For the life of me, I’ll never understand why @FootballAUS don’t bid for the Under 20s World Cup. Back in 1993 we had an average of 15k a game, over 30k at the SFS in the opener against Colombia, 22k against Brazil in the semi & 40k against England in the 3rd place play off. Given the nature of the men’s World Cup & who it goes to these day, it’s unrealistic we get it. Hosting the U20s I can guarantee you the crowds will pump given our diasporas & an intelligent football community that appreciates all levels of the game. It’s an easy test case for @FIFAcom to see we’ll host a brilliant Men’s World Cup one day.
