gMic fams! ⁓What is @SeismicSys Testnet? (𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳) before any blockchain goes live, it needs to be tested, that’s where Testnet comes in. Seismic is building an “encrypted by default” blockchain so testing is even more important. ~What is a testnet? A testnet is a practice version of the network. • No real money • No real risk • Real infrastructure • Real user interaction It’s where bugs get found and fixed before mainnet. ~Why does Seismic need a testnet? Because encryption changes everything. Encrypted transactions. Encrypted smart contracts. Private execution by default. This needs serious stress testing. ~What will likely happen? Usually testnets roll out in phases: • Devnet (internal testing) • Private testnet • Public testnet • Possibly incentivized testnet Each phase improves stability. ⁓What can users expect? • Try transactions • Deploy contracts • Break things (on purpose) • Give feedback All using test tokens not real funds. ~Why it matters: If Seismic proves encrypted execution works at scale, it sets a new standard.
