@UpdogSportsTalk That 2005 team was my favorite team of all time. All but 1 player was not from Illinois.

In 2005 Illinois had one of the best teams I remember seeing growing up, the Fighting Illini suffered a heartbreaking loss to North Carolina in the championship. For the first time since, Illinois will get their shot at Final 4 redemption. This program has been so consistently great it was only a matter of time Congrats to the Fighting Illini!!

Lots to be proud of for Siena, these kids absolutely gutted it out playing the entire game. This team was extremely under seeded as a 16. Had they even gotten a 15 seed (or anything other than playing the number 1 overall seed) they very well could have pulled off an upset
