As Jews, we don't have the numbers. But we're British Jews. It's instilled in us from an early age that the 'British' part always comes first. It's why Jews are considered a success story of assimilation and integration within British society.
Please understand, this isn't a war only against Jews.

@RachelSJohnson Yes of course. But today it happened to be Jews. And over the past few weeks there has been a growing trend. Sometimes, we just have to call it out and be specific. But it’s equally awful when it happens to anyone because of their religion or identify.

I grew up in Golders Green in the 50s and early 60s. It was a perfect place to be happily and unproblematically Jewish and British. Now we need leaders of British Muslim communities to be vocal in their abhorrence at these violent acts - verbal as well as physical

A man was seen running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife and attempting to stab Jewish members of the public, according to a local Jewish security group. We have yet to hear from the Metropolitan police

So much to unpack here.
The assailant was stopped in a citizens’ arrest by a Jewish neighborhood watch group, not the police. The info reached the media through that Jewish community group, not the police.
